“

The activists of the United Hearts Movement can celebrate their victory,

points out

Le Monde Afrique

.

In Bangui, the Central African capital, ANE, the National Elections Authority, announced yesterday evening the provisional results of the presidential and legislative elections of December 27: their candidate, the outgoing president, Faustin-Archange Touadéra, the won in the first round with 53.92% of the vote at the end of an eventful electoral cycle.

The final results must be published on January 19, after examination of any appeals.

But, already, disputes are raining.

 "

Indeed, notes

Afrik.com

, arrived "

in second position, the former Prime Minister, Anicet Georges Dologuélé, credited with 21.01% of the vote,

affirms:

'it is a farce, there were many irregularities and frauds'

.

"

In addition, continues

Afrik.com

, “

great concern since December 27, the participation rate in this election is still 76.31%, according to the calculations of the ANE.

This figure could seem very surprising,

 ”exclaims the pan-African site.

“Indeed, it clearly emerged, on the evening of December 27, that many localities had not been able to participate in the electoral operations, due to the presence of the armed rebel groups which occupy 2/3 of the Central African territory and who have openly promised to prevent the ballot from taking place.

Where did the ANE then get this participation rate?

Asks

Afrik.com.

The question remains unresolved.

 "

A shattered country

Indeed, points out the

Oubangui Médias

news site

, “

the Central African Republic is reduced to Bangui, the capital.

(…) From Garoua Boulay to Boali via Bouar, Berberati or even Mbaiki, there is a total absence of the administration and the Defense and Security Forces.

(…) And Bangassou, Boda or Bossangoa are under the control of the Coalition of Central African Patriots, the CPC which calls for a dialogue that the power of Bangui announces after the final proclamation of the results by the Constitutional Court by January 19.

 "

Suspicions…

This makes

Ledjely

in Guinea say that Touadéra has won “

a victory with tasteless taste

.

"In fact, says the Guinean site,"

only half of the polling stations were taken into account.

In other words, the victory which President Touadéra could claim only relates to 910,000 voters, and not to the 1.8 million registered Central Africans.

In terms of legitimacy, it is not famous.

However,

continues

Ledjely, there are also accusations of fraud, in particular by means of a + massive + recourse to the vote by exemption, accusations which are not necessarily devoid of meaning.

Certainly, in Africa, opponents are known to be notoriously bad faith.

But it must nevertheless be admitted that last December 27 the volatile atmosphere that reigned in Bangui and the rest of the Central African Republic is such as to justify all suspicions.

 "

Like Sisyphus ...

In any case, "

now

advanced

today

in Burkina

, Touadéra will now work to bring peace to the entire Central buffeted by repeated attacks by armed groups.

Because how could he unfold his social project in a country occupied by 14 warlords?

The second challenge that stands before him remains unquestionably the case of François Bozizé, still raises Today, which constitutes a permanent threat to the Republic.

The boss of Kwa Na Kwa has just demonstrated that he has not lost any of his nuisance capacity.

And had it not been for the presence of foreign armed forces, in particular the 13,000 men of MINUSCA, Rwandan and Russian soldiers whose actions made it possible to reject several breakthroughs, this election would have remained a dead letter.

"

So, “

now,

believes the Ouagalais daily

, we must help Touadéra to stop dangling with the big stone of Sisyphus, by establishing the state, everywhere in CAR, not just in Bangui;

it is also necessary to rebuild a real army and organize a new inclusive national dialogue, in the hope of preventing a further escalation of violence with armed groups and bringing the bandits back into line.
