The mayor Les Républicains de Bron (Rhône) Jérémie Bréaud announced Monday that he would file a complaint after the discovery on the fence of a construction site in his town of new tags threatening him with beheading.

“This shows once again that some do not accept the values of France.

Through me, it is all the elected officials who act who are targeted, ”writes the elected official on his Facebook page.

A photo released by the main interested party shows inscriptions such as "Bréaud t mort fdp décapitation" and "nike la bac ban de pute" (sic), in reference to the police officers of the Anti-Crime Brigade.

Already threatened on October 22

These tags were found in the same neighborhood as those discovered on October 22, which already threatened the elected official with beheading, a municipal source told AFP.

These threats had led the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin to offer protection to the elected, while, less than a week earlier, the history professor Samuel Paty had been assassinated in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine.

Elected in June, Jérémy Bréaud placed his action under the sign of security, with a massive increase in the number of municipal police and the reinforced deployment of video surveillance.

"We fight against drug trafficking ... I think we are disturbing," he said in October.

"It is high time that Justice is up to the current challenges of our society and when it manages to seize these individuals, it must condemn them with the greatest firmness", underlined the elected on his Facebook page.
