A total of 17,260 people have been confirmed to be infected in Aichi Prefecture.
Toyota City also announced that a man in his 80s who lives in the city where infection with the new coronavirus was confirmed died on the 3rd.
This brings the number of infected people who died in Aichi Prefecture to 228.
