Ille-et-Vilaine has known since Saturday an episode of air pollution with fine particles linked to "the combination of unfavorable weather conditions and the accumulation of pollutants in the atmosphere with road traffic".

Consequently, the prefecture triggered an alert procedure throughout the department until midnight Sunday evening.

This results in a reduction of 20 km / h in the maximum authorized speed on the road network.

On highways, speed is thus limited to 110 km / h instead of 130 and to 90 km / h instead of 110 on roads.

The prefecture also recommends "to limit travel and adopt a peaceful behavior".

Other measures have also been taken, particularly in the agricultural sector.

It is thus forbidden this weekend to practice burn-out and to burn pruning residues in the open air throughout the department.
