The American "CNN" network announced, the day before yesterday, that the famous talk show host Larry King, who worked in it for 25 years, was infected with the new Corona virus, and was being treated in a Los Angeles hospital for more than a week.

"CNN" quoted "a source close to the family" of Larry King that the 87-year-old American journalist had been admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Because of the hospital’s protocols, his three sons were unable to visit him.

Larry King is already suffering from type 2 diabetes, in addition to other health problems, as he developed lung cancer, and suffered several heart attacks, and angina caused by reduced blood flow to the heart.

Larry King is one of the most prominent figures in the history of television in the United States, known for his wrapped shirt sleeves, the multi-colored ties he wore, and the suspenders and large glasses.

For 25 years, he presented the "Larry King Live" program.

In it, he interviewed all American presidents since 1974, and some of the most prominent world leaders, such as the late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat and Russian President Vladimir Putin, in addition to the stars of Frank Sinatra, Marlon Brando and Barbara Streisand.

Larry King left CNN in 2010, but he continued to conduct interviews and was posting them on his website.

In 2012 he launched "Larry King Now" on the online video-on-demand channel "Aura TV" that he co-founded.

And in 2013, the revival of the "Politics with Larry King" program began.
