In Okinoshima Town, Shimane Prefecture, the New Year's annual karate training was held, and children entered the Sea of Japan in winter to train their minds and bodies.

The first lesson is held every year at the Karate Dojo in Okinoshima Town, and on the 3rd, eight elementary school students to high school students who attend the dojo gathered at Shiohama Beach, ran on the beach to warm their bodies, and then entered the sea.

Then, while submerged in the seawater up to the knees, I lined up in a row and shouted "Ei" to practice the basic movements of karate such as thrusting and kicking.

On the 3rd, Okinoshima Town was cloudy and the seawater was cold, and the children continued to practice enthusiastically while making their legs bright red, training their minds and bodies.

At this dojo, due to the influence of the new coronavirus, it was not possible to practice in a group last year, and the children did not participate in the tournament held outside the island. I made a loud voice and vowed to devote myself to this year.

A fifth grade girl who participated said, "I want to do my best in karate so that I won't lose to Corona."
