In the vicinity of Barcelona, hundreds of people celebrated a day-long rave party in a warehouse despite the corona curfew at night.
Video images showed how people danced under a large skull without masks.
The police only broke up the mass celebration 36 hours after the first calls from concerned residents, as the newspaper "La Vanguardia" reported on Saturday.
Residents reported that at times up to 1,000 people attended the party in the small town of Llinars de Vallès, about 40 kilometers northwest of the tourist metropolis of Barcelona.
Around 200 vehicles with foreign license plates were parked in front of the building.
Local residents report that the party was supposed to last until January 4th, the newspaper continued.
The police asked the people several times before the evacuation to evacuate the area.
The regional government announced an investigation into why the response was so late.
