According to him, over the years of teaching, Korenev "has brought up a whole galaxy of actors who continue the work of the master and enhance the glorious cultural traditions of our country."

The Mayor of Moscow stressed that "the bright memory of Vladimir Borisovich Korenev will forever remain in the hearts of his friends, colleagues, students and numerous fans."

Earlier, Russian leader Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences to the family of Vladimir Korenev.

The actor died at the age of 81 after being hospitalized with coronavirus.
