On December 31, the middle section of Beijing Metro Line 16 (Xiyuan Station-Ganjiakou Station) opened for trial operation. The line is about 12 kilometers long and has 7 stations.
The middle section of Line 16 and the northern section of Line 16 (Bei'anhe Station-Xiyuan Station), which were opened in advance, are connected. It takes only 49 minutes from Bei'an River to Ganjiakou.
