Nara Prefecture and Nara City announced on the 1st that it was confirmed that 37 new men and women in their 20s to 90s were infected with the new coronavirus.
Four of them are users and staff of disability support facilities in Nara City.
Eight people, including four, have been confirmed to be infected at this facility, and the city has determined that a cluster has occurred and is investigating the infection route in detail.
This brings the total number of people confirmed to be infected in the prefecture to 2000.
