Jilin City welcomes the Jilin Rime, one of China's four major meteorological wonders, every winter.
Affected by the temperature difference and the mist of the river, the banks of the Songhua River, which has not been frozen for many years, sometimes have rime condensation.
Rime Island is one of the best places to watch the rime landscape in the local area. In the 1990s, photographers discovered this place and the island has since become famous.
Zengtong Village, Tuchengzi Township, Changyi District, Jilin City, where Zhao Si Inn is located, accounts for 71% of the total area of Rime Island.
It is surrounded by rivers on all sides, and rime is frequent and heavy.
The island has a peculiar tree shape, and when the rime falls, the small island of nearly 6 square kilometers is like a fairyland on earth.
A 54-year-old farmer, Zhao Si, is familiar with the operation of the network platform.
"The rooms are fully booked, and many people want to see the first rime of the New Year." Zhaosi Inn is called the "net celebrity shop" of Zengtong Village.
According to estimates, Zhao Si will earn more than 200,000 yuan this winter relying on rime.
There are only 1052 people in Zengtong Village. The veteran inn run by the 49-year-old party branch secretary Zhang Aiqun is one of the first inns in Zengtong Village.
Statistics show that Rime Island can receive up to 450,000 tourists each year.
There are now 50 homestays and inns on the island. In order to enhance the tourist reception capacity, the village has established a farmhouse cooperative on Rime Island to manage the homestays in the area.
The local area takes Zengtong Village as the core, based on the natural resources and folk cultural advantages of the surrounding areas, and develops increasingly diverse tourism projects to broaden the industrial chain around the four main tourism lines of "rime tour, ecological tour, folk tour, and cultural tour" .

The rime economy has led to the return of "North Drift".
35-year-old Xie Haizhen and her husband have been catering in Beijing for many years, and then returned to their hometown of Zengtong Village to open an inn covering an area of more than 600 square meters.
The local feelings and the prospect of rime tourism in the future make this "post-80s" couple full of confidence.
The first rime of the new year also attracted the "net celebrity" group.
33-year-old Zeng Fanli has been shooting Kuaishou works for two years. As a young man who grew up in Zengtong Village, he hopes to shoot "good videos with traffic" in his hometown.
"The jokes and talk shows in the works will all involve our village." Zeng Fanli has produced 4 rime works. On the quick video, his series "Rime Island" has been viewed by more than 3 million.
Zengtong Village is just one of the "rime villages" that exist by the Songhua River.
Hantun Village, which is separated by a river, is less than one kilometer away from Rime Island and is also a well-known Rime Village.
In recent years, with the continuous development of winter ice and snow tourism in Jilin Province, Hantun Village can earn tens of thousands of yuan more per rime viewing season from November to February of the following year.
Hu Zhonghai, 52, appeared as a farmer and an internet celebrity.
She wears a sheepskin jacket and sells candied haws, and is praised by netizens as a "net celebrity" with her own image.
Both villages have signed land and ferry leasing contracts with Jilin Rime International Tourism Co., Ltd., and the villagers have benefited from the smog.
"All villagers have dividends."
The "Smog Economic Belt" runs up along the river. In the upper reaches of the Songhua River 135 kilometers away from the Rime Island, Yingbifeng Village in Huadian City under the jurisdiction of Jilin City is also a new "Smog Village".
This village of only 50 households is famous for its original ecological rime landscape.

The 53-year-old Jia Xiuzhen’s house is only 20 meters away from the river, relying on the rime to "replace silver". The Yingbifeng rime family inn has led some villagers in the village to change the "winter leisure" mode.
Relying on the rime and snow resources of the 12 kilometers downstream of the Songhua River, the local area is creating a ten-mile rime corridor landscape.
As a characteristic resource of ice and snow, it has been included in the development plan for ice and snow tourism.
Soon, more rime villages will appear in the "rime economic belt".
