After seven years of negotiations, China and the European Union have finally found a trade agreement allowing companies from the old continent to access the Chinese market.

Beijing for its part, conceded ratifying the fundamental conventions of the International Labor Organization on the fight against forced labor, which targets in particular that of the Uyghurs.

This agreement was concluded before the inauguration of Joe Biden and thus affirms the independence of the European Union vis-à-vis the United States.
