The Balearic Islands is the autonomy with the most worrying figures.

Specifically, its cumulative incidence at 14 days stands at

530.86 cases per 100,000 inhabitants

These numbers led the autonomous government a few days ago to take new restrictive measures against the spread of the virus.

Behind the Balearic Islands are Extremadura, with 511.56 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, which today also announced new measures against the virus;

Madrid, with 400.04;

the Valencian Community, with 390.73 and Catalonia, with 369.07 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last two weeks.

The death toll rises to 50,837, with 148 new deaths registered in the last hours, a lower figure than in recent days.

In the last week, 622 people have lost their lives to Covid, according to the Health report.

The Valencian Community heads the list of autonomies with the most deaths in this period, with 131 deaths.

They are followed by Andalusia (70 deaths), Madrid (63) and Castilla y León (53).

Right now, 11,535 patients remain hospitalized due to Covid, 2,181 of them in an intensive care unit, says the document prepared by the CCAES.

In the last week, 2,181 people have been admitted to a health center for coronavirus, 213 of them in the ICU.

The ICU occupancy rate for Covid patients is currently 21.21%.

Since the pandemic began, 211,064 have required hospitalization in Spain, 18,251 of which have required intensive care.
