Back in October, I started to write a draft of the text that, in principle, the outgoing year was not so terrible.

I achieved a lot, experienced a lot and successfully coped with the consequences: I released an audiobook, got divorced, got out of a long-term depression, sent my child to kindergarten, went in for sports, worked, read, found new hobbies and hobbies, fell in love, my heart was broken, I was disappointed. .. Such an emotional swing is normal.

Well, how did 2020 differ from all the previous ones?

Everything was as unpredictable as always before, little depended on us.

But, perhaps, it was in this year that we had to remember this together.

Mankind seemed to believe so much in its own greatness, it was forgotten that it was time to shake it up.

They shook it.

I understand that this statement is ambiguous, many will disagree with me.

We lost loved ones, lost the opportunity to travel, lost touch with each other.

But I want to believe that it’s not with ourselves.

Many are now summing up the results, I see posts in the feed about how terrible this year was.

But not for me.

Although a loved one died with me.

The year was definitely strange, but still ...

For example, I have found a connection with myself and with the Important.

Despite my own inner fears and other people's admonitions from the outside, social distancing and isolation went to my advantage.

I began to notice the beauty in the little things.

There was an unshakable faith in us, and, for that matter, I truly fell in love with my country.

At the very beginning of the year, when travel was still allowed, talking with my American friends, I shared my thoughts that Russia was becoming a cool country to live in.

I'm calm here.

There is now even an important environmental direction for me, recycling and separate collection of waste and the rejection of plastic.

Good social programs are underway.

Although, of course, anything happens, including the dumb, I don’t forget about it and, like everyone else, I get crazy when injustices happen.

But systemically it's better here than anywhere else.

I like Russia 2020.

And now, after months of the pandemic and the fight against the coronavirus, I can safely say that we have coped and continue to do better than others.

Name me at least one country where the government has not screwed up.

There are no such.

Of course, there are also those who shamelessly never admit it ... By the way, let me remind you: from our side, Golikova said that "the authorities have learned serious lessons from the pandemic, there will be adjustments in the plans."

Lessons were learned, now the knowledge will be applied in the future.

Nevertheless, now the whole planet hopes for a better 2021, that wonderful things will come with it, that it will not be the same as 2020 was.

And there is hope for that.

Great hope because there is a vaccine that works and is proven to be effective and safe.

Personally, I hope that with the coming of the new year there will be less gloating and less information attacks on Russian doctors and our vaccines.

The reason for doubts about the quality of the latter was even the fact that the president has not yet taken root.

Although Vladimir Putin followed the instructions of the doctors and waited for the completion of all formalities, that is, he behaved like a law-abiding citizen and did not take advantage of his own position.

This does not mean that he does not trust Russian vaccines; rather, on the contrary, he does not trust Russian specialists without fail.

One way or another, I wish everyone to stick to their inner course.

Despite the storms raging around, it is important to believe in yourself and remain in balanced calm and harmony.

We do not control this world, but we definitely control ourselves.

We can try to do everything that is available to us, everything that is in our power.

We can be responsible for our actions, but what the final consequences will be, we are not given to know.

It is important not to give up hope.

Everything will be as it should.

And this knowledge will save more than one life and health.

PS Get vaccinated, be healthy and happy - this is our only responsibility.
