It was newly confirmed that six men and women who arrived at domestic airports from the United Kingdom and other countries later this month were infected with the mutated new coronavirus, which is spreading in the United Kingdom.

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, the infection was confirmed in six men and women between the ages of 10 and 50 who have stayed in the United Kingdom and the UAE = United Arab Emirates.

The six individuals were confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus by quarantine when they arrived at Kansai Airport, Haneda Airport, and Narita Airport from the 23rd to the 26th of this month, and then the genes of the samples were analyzed at the National Institute of Infectious Diseases. As a result, it turned out to be a mutated virus that is spreading in the United Kingdom.

All of them are treated at accommodation facilities and hospitals, so no one has made so-called close contact.

Mutant viruses found in the United Kingdom and South Africa are said to be highly infectious, with a total of 21 confirmed infections in Japan.
