Police are investigating the situation in detail, suspecting that the passenger car that caused the first rear-end collision slipped in the snow.

Around noon on the 31st, on the down line of the Hokuriku Expressway in Minamiechizen Town, 10 cars collided one after another when a passenger car running in the overtaking lane collided with a car in the driving lane.



According to police, seven people were injured in the accident and were treated at the hospital, all of which were minor injuries.



The site was in the middle of an S-shaped curve downhill, and at the time of the accident it was snowing and there was still snow on the road surface.



Police are investigating the detailed situation, considering that the cause of the accident was that the passenger car that first collided with the car slipped on the snow based on the story of the person who was driving.



Due to the accident, the down line of the Hokuriku Expressway was closed for about two and a half hours between the Tsuruga interchange and the Imajo interchange.
