On the morning of the 31st, a body of one person was found in the burnt remains of a burning truck in an accident involving a total of 10 trucks on the Chugoku Expressway in Mine City, Yamaguchi Prefecture.

Around 6 am on the 31st, an accident involving 10 trucks and passenger cars occurred in the down lane near the Chugoku Expressway Mine-nishi Interchange in Mine City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, and 7 of them burned.



According to police, the number of cars involved was initially estimated to be nine, but subsequent investigations revealed that one more car was involved.



The fire was dispatched and the fire was almost extinguished in a little over an hour, but one body was found in the burnt remains of a large truck that burned.



Police are confirming that the man who died was a man in his 40s who was driving this heavy-duty truck that was out of contact.



Also, in the accident, a man in his 60s who was driving a different truck was seriously injured by breaking his right leg, and a man in his 30s was hit by a hip.



The site was a gentle left curve with two lanes on each side, about 300 meters from the Mine-nishi interchange in the direction of Hiroshima, and the road surface was frozen at the time of the accident.
