Faced with the resurgence of Covid-19 cases in Nice, vaccination begins there early on Wednesday, announced the LR mayor of the city Christian Estrosi.

"As of today in Nice, we are launching vaccination campaigns in advance," explained Christian Estrosi on France Inter, who had formulated the request publicly on Monday.

One week in advance, according to the town hall, vaccination will begin at the Nice University Hospital, then continue next week in retirement homes (nursing homes then independent homes), before being extended at the end of January by age group, starting with those over 65.

On the pre-registration platform set up by the municipality, 10,000 people are already registered outside the nursing home, said Christian Estrosi.

Estrosi also favors the curfew at 6 p.m.

“Each territory having its specificity, it turns out that we are on the border with Monaco, with Italy, with an airport which has gone from 20 flights a day, to 120 flights, that is to say the level of 50% of attendance in December 2019. All this has brought back significant circulation of the virus, ”explained the elected representative on France Inter.

He also welcomed the government's proposal to anticipate by two hours, at 6:00 p.m., the curfew in areas of the eastern half of France, including Nice, where the virus is circulating rapidly: "If you can no longer go out at 6 p.m., that allows us to control all those who might deviate from the rule.

Extension of the curfew, vaccination campaign ... What should we remember from the interview with Olivier Véran at the "20 Heures" of France 2?
