The news of the sudden death of director Hatem Ali, today in the Egyptian capital Cairo, caused a shock in the Arab artistic community, as well as among the audience of the Syrian creator, the owner of famous works, who missed the age of 58.

As soon as the news of the death was reported, a large number of artists and drama makers mourned Hatem Ali, expressing their shock at his sudden departure in a Cairo hotel, after he had a heart attack.

Among the first to announce the news of Hatem Ali’s death was the Egyptian scriptwriter Abd al-Rahim Kamal, on his Facebook page, as he combined a number of successful works, including “Hell Stone,” “As If Yesterday”, and “Is This What Happened”.

"He was always repeating spontaneously and loudly, O Lord, forgive me .. Forgive him, O Lord, and forgive him as much as he pleased us with works that are still engraved in the conscience of the Arab viewer."

The Saudi media, Mona Abu Salman, called the late director and writer on Twitter, noting that he wrote and directed some of the most beautiful Arab works, such as “Zeer Salem,” “The Andalus Trilogy,” “Palestinian Westernization,” and “Omar,” calling for mercy and forgiveness.

Hatem Ali began his artistic career as an actor with director Haitham Haqqi in the series "Circle of Fire" in 1988, then continued his participation in dramas that embodied different personalities, ranging from historical and nomadic roles to contemporary characters in multiple styles.

During his career, Hatem Ali presented many prominent works of art, the most important of which are the series "A Struggle on the Sand" and "The Gates of the Cloud", on the poems of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and the production of the Dubai Government Media Office .
