This year's Corona 19 hit the performance world.

In the case of famous pianist Kim Sun-wook, each domestic recital had to be canceled three times in line with the time of re-proliferation of the corona.

Reporter Kim Soo-hyun met Mr. Kim Seon-wook, who even misses the cough in the auditorium.

Kim Seon-wook's first and last concert in Seoul this year was broadcast live without spectators.

[Kim Seon-wook/Pianist: I am so happy to be able to do this.

The performers also have to keep playing, but their fingers, mind, and everything are spinning.]

Kim Seon-wook, who lives in Germany, had many concert schedules around the world, including her conductor debut this year and concerts with famous bands, but most were canceled due to Corona 19.

The recital in my home country, prepared by supervising self-isolation, was canceled three times from March, and was postponed to next January.

[Kim Seon-wook/Pianist: You have to play. Artists like me also earn income.

Since we can't play, we are actually close to self-employed, but it was a lot of blows.] What

is more difficult than the economic blow is the situation where the nature of our kamma of performing face to face with the audience is threatened.

I miss the atmosphere of the concert hall and the rapport with the audience that cannot be satisfied with online performances alone.

[Kim Seon-wook/Pianist: I miss the coughing and rustling sounds (from the auditorium).

Sometimes it interferes with the performance.

It's too vain because it doesn't even sound like that anymore.]

Nowadays, as everyone has hope for the new year and ends a difficult year, Kim Seon-wook is constantly preparing for a performance with the hope of meeting the audience in the new year.
