Claude Brasseur's funeral took place on Tuesday at the Saint-Roch church in Paris.

The great French actor died on Tuesday, December 22, at the age of 84.

After the ceremony, he was buried in the Père Lachaise cemetery, in complete privacy alongside his father, the actor Pierre Brasseur.

Michèle Cambon, wife of Claude Brasseur, dressed in a black veil, and Alexandre, their son, were standing near the coffin as it arrived.

The priest made a final blessing on it before four men took him to the Artists' Parish, the other name of the church.

Several dozen brave people stayed outside in the cold for over an hour to pay their last respects.

"He was part of the family"

A hundred strangers also hurried, already nostalgic for the actor.

Before they could go home, they were silent, without signs, as if they had been taken in.
