Marketed for the first time by Lidl in Belgium last July, they were expected to be firm in France.

As with our Belgian neighbors, the sneakers in the colors of the German brand were torn off this Sunday in French supermarkets, reports

Le HuffPost

.

Customers have flocked to the shelves to hope to get their hands on these sneakers.

Their sale was initially scheduled for November 14 but had to be postponed due to containment.

Sold at a price of 12.99 euros, these sneakers did not stay long on the shelves: "Arrived at 8:30 am, at 8:33 am out of stock, it was war on Lidl," tweeted a user.

Resold on the Internet the same day

In the stores, customers elbowed to come away with the shoes, the quantity of which was limited to 69,000 pieces.

Many videos of crush scenes have been posted on social networks.

They are reminiscent of those caused by the release of the “Monsieur cuisine connect” robot in June 2019.

Barely bought, the sneakers were already offered for resale on sites such as Leboncoin or Vinted, some customers having bought several pairs.

They are offered much more expensive than their initial sale price.

A pair is even displayed at 990 euros.

Lidl's textile collection released in France this Sunday also included a t-shirt at 4.99 euros, a pair of slides at 4.99 euros also, and sports socks at 2.99 euros.

All of this is also available on second-hand sales sites.
