Nine departments are now placed in orange vigilance "waves-submersions" and "snow-ice", according to the bulletin published by Météo-France, this Monday.

Snow and ice are expected in the departments of Aveyron, Cantal, Corrèze, Lozère and Puy-de-Dôme.

The phenomenon of "waves-submersions" will concern Corse-du-Sud, the Landes, the Pyrénées-Atlantiques and the Var.

Very difficult traffic on the A89 and A75

According to Météo-France, "despite the low values of tidal coefficients, the wave-submersion phenomenon associated with storm Bella" will be "remarkable" and should "affect the coasts of the Atlantic coast", and especially in the Landes and the Pyrénées-Atlantiques.

Meteorologists also call for caution in the southwest of Corsica and the west of the Var.

On the snow side, expected around 600 to 800m, it should weaken during the day, before strengthening overnight from Monday to Tuesday.

Associated with the strong wind, the snowfall risks causing "the formation of snowdrifts and significant accumulations in the mountains due to transport by the wind", details Météo-France, which estimates that the snow will reach 50 to 70 cm above of 800 / 900m this evening.

Be careful, traffic will be very difficult on the A89 and A75.
