The courier brother Wang Yong recently posted on Weibo farewell to 2020.

"If I want to use one word to summarize my 2020, I think it should be'thanks'." Wang Yong said.

Before the outbreak, 35-year-old Wang Yong was a "Feng e shopkeeper" of SF Express in Qiaokou District, Wuhan. He was responsible for managing unmanned containers and loading them every day.

After get off work, he went out to drive an online car to subsidize his family.

In his opinion, he is just one of the millions of people in Wuhan who can't be more ordinary. His greatest wish is to make more money and live happily with his wife and daughter.

But what Wang Yong didn't expect was that the epidemic raged, making him an ordinary person a "celebrity."

On the night of the New Year’s Eve this year, Wang Yong joined a WeChat group created by volunteers to provide assistance to frontline medical staff in the Jinyintan area.

At that time, the whole city of Wuhan was out of traffic, and many medical staff in the group suggested that they were eager to use cars for commuting.

After hesitating again and again, at 11 o'clock that night, Wang Yong stepped out of the house without telling his family, wearing his only N95 mask, drove to the hospital, and began to "take orders" for free.

Thinking back to the first retrograde, Wang Yong is a little bit afraid, but never regrets it.

He calculated an account: If medical staff ride shared bicycles or walk to and from get off work every day, it would take one or two hours or more to go back and forth, and delay rest; if there is a car to pick up medical staff, it can save 2 hours per person. Taking 30 people to pick up and drop off each day, 60 hours can be saved.

"How many new crown patients can hope for these 60 hours! I am'making a life'." When he thought of this, Wang Yong immediately let go of all his worries, and he felt "worth it."

With the increasing demand of medical staff for vehicles, Wang Yong began to recruit volunteers. In addition to transporting medical staff to and from get off work, they also coordinate shared bicycle companies, convenience stores and restaurants, and provide vehicles, food and other materials.

During the epidemic, the charitable deeds of Wang Yong and his volunteer team were reported by many media. This ordinary person became “red” and became a role model among the courier brothers, a “superhero” in the children’s composition, and The well-known "most beautiful retrograde man".

Due to outstanding performance in the epidemic, the company promoted Wang Yong to three consecutive levels. This ordinary courier brother became the manager of SF Express Wuhan Qiaokou Division, managing more than 200 employees.

Not only that, Wang Yong has successively won the "Most Beautiful Courier" Special Award from the State Post Bureau, the 24th "Chinese Youth May 4th Medal", the "Global Youth Anti-epidemic Model" issued by the UN Secretary-General's Youth Special Envoy, and "National Fight against New Crown Pneumonia "Advanced Individual" and other honors.

Recalling this experience, Wang Yong still thinks that he is just a "organizer". What I really want to thank are the medical workers and volunteers who worked hard for the patients.

Computer kids, "I hope to do some charity activities related to education and student assistance more persistently."

"The good and the bad will eventually pass. Looking forward to 2021, we can see each other's hearty smiles on the street as soon as possible. We wish to be healthy, safe and sound." Wang Yong said.
