Supervisor Wang was startled, and immediately called the police after he recovered.
After receiving the police, the Criminal Investigation Brigade of the Haiyan County Public Security Bureau rushed to the scene and salvaged the body.
After forensic identification, the deceased died of drowning.
Soon, according to the corpse's wearing and tattoo characteristics, the deceased was identified as Zhu from Haiyan County.
On the 18th of the same month, after the police confirmed that the deceased was Zhu, they notified the deceased’s husband, Bao, to go to the police station to identify the body and be questioned.

After reviewing the case file, the prosecutor found that Bao was always vague about whether he saw his wife jumping into the river, but he could not remember clearly because he was drunk that night.

After examination, the prosecutors found from the road monitoring on the day of the crime and the dash cam of the vehicle they drove that day, during Bao Mou’s driving, whether he was driving straight, turning around, or driving on a country road, he drove very smoothly. , There is no common drunken state. From this behavior, it is sufficient to judge that Bao is conscious and in good condition while driving.
In response to Bao’s defense that “I just vaguely remembered that his wife Zhu jumped into the river, and that he was drunk is not very sure”, the prosecutor of the case believed that the surveillance video showed that Bao Mou saw his wife jumped into the river and drove straight to the jumping river position. There is no hesitation.
In combination with Bao's confession in an interrogation confession at the public security stage that he saw his wife jumping in the river and confided to his friends that he saw someone jumping off the yellow bridge, the prosecutor believed that Bao's defense was unfounded.
In the face of a large amount of evidence, Bao finally admitted that he saw his wife jumping into the river but did not take any rescue measures.
The prosecutor believes that Bao's insults and beatings against Zhu triggered her suicide; and Zhu jumped into the river and her life was in urgent danger. Bao witnessed the whole process. On December 10, the court adopted the facts and charges of the prosecution against Bao after the trial, and sentenced the defendant Bao to three years and ten months’ imprisonment for intentional homicide.
