The Awsha Bint Khalifa Al Suwaidi Foundation, (The Arab Girl), and the Jumah Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage, organized a virtual forum for Emirati poets yesterday, under the title «In the hospitality of Awsha».

A group of prominent female poets participated in the forum, which comes within the framework of the interest of those in charge of both sides in Nabati poetry and in its sea.

The evening comes in recognition of the contributions of poet Ousha bint Khalifa Al-Suwaidi (Girl of the Arabs), who left her mark on the Emirati cultural scene in particular and the Gulf in general, as her poems witnessed literary, social and historical transformations that affected local and Gulf cultural life.

For his part, the founder of the Awsha Bint Khalifa Foundation, Dr. Hamid bin Muhammad Khalifa Al-Suwaidi, expressed his happiness in cooperating with the Juma Al Majid Foundation for Culture and Heritage, pointing to the Aousha Foundation's relentless endeavor to enrich the literary scene, on top of which is the poetic scene and to attract all poets, in addition to immortalizing the poetry of The Arab girl, whose poems dealt with various poetry purposes.

Head of the National Culture Department at the Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage, Sheikha Al-Mutairi, said: “We seek through this forum to extend bridges of communication with institutions that deal with poetry and poets, through concern and support for senior poets and caring for poetic talents.”
