The Tokyo Metropolitan Government will operate the Toei Subway Oedo Line, which has been reduced to about 70% of the normal level from the 27th, due to the effects of the drivers being infected with the new coronavirus one after another.

According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation, it has been confirmed that 15 drivers belonging to the Kiyosumi flight ward in Koto Ward have been infected with the new coronavirus since the 15th of this month on the Toei Subway Oedo Line.

Colleagues who were considered to be close contacts have also been on standby at home, and currently there are 21 drivers who are unable to go to work, which is about 10% of the Kiyosumi crew.

For this reason, as no longer able to put together the normal business system, it will be operating reduced to the normal of about 70% in prospect until next month 11 days of the beginning of the year from 27 days.

However, on the 28th, it is expected that the number of users will increase due to the end of the year, so the morning commuting time from 7:30 am to 8:30 am will operate normally.

After that, based on the recovery situation of the driver, I would like to return to normal operation as soon as the system is ready.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government apologized for the inconvenience caused to the users, and requested that detailed operation information be confirmed on the website of the Transportation Bureau and official Twitter.
