To make it easier for children to be tested for the new coronavirus, a pediatric hospital in Oita City has set up a testing facility specializing in children and their families and opened it to the press on the 26th.

The inspection facility was set up at the Oita Children's Hospital, a private hospital specializing in children in Oita City.

While there are movements to refrain from going to the hospital due to the influence of the new coronavirus, it was set up to avoid congestion as much as possible and make it easier to undergo examinations by focusing on children suspected of being infected and their families.

The test must be booked in advance and will be done at a facility in the hospital parking lot to avoid contact with other patients, and the test results will be available as early as the day.

This testing facility was set up in light of the increasing number of infections in the home, and according to hospitals, testing facilities specializing in children and their families are rare in Japan.

The hospital will support this year-end and New Year holidays as well.

Mr. Yasushi Fujimoto, director of Oita Children's Hospital, said, "If you feel uneasy, don't hesitate to go to the hospital and have them take the test to protect your children and their families."
