Nagano Prefecture and Nagano City have announced that a total of 17 people in the prefecture have been newly confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus.
In addition, one male patient in his 80s who was hospitalized at a medical institution in the prefecture died.
The number of confirmed infections in the prefecture is now 1088, of which 13 have died.
