Kochi Prefecture has decided to extend the request for shortening business hours to restaurants, etc. until January 11th, as the number of people infected with the new coronavirus remains high.

Extended until January 11th

As the number of infected people increases rapidly, Kochi Prefecture is requesting restaurants and other facilities throughout the prefecture to shorten their business hours to 8:00 pm from December 16th to December 30th.

However, Governor Hamada of Kochi Prefecture said at a press conference on the 25th that the infection remained high even 10 days after the request, and requested restaurants to shorten the business hours until January 11th of the year. It was revealed that it would be extended.

As in the past, we will pay a cooperation fee of 40,000 yen per day to each store to the business operator who responded to the request.

Suspended new issuance of "Go To Eat"

Regarding "Go To Eat," we stopped issuing new meal tickets from December 31st to January 11th, and requested that we refrain from using sold meal tickets except for home delivery and takeout.

Furthermore, during the year-end and New Year holidays, we will thoroughly implement infection prevention measures so as not to lead to infection to people with a high risk of serious illness such as the elderly, and if such measures are difficult, carefully consider homecoming and travel and refrain from doing so as necessary. I asked.

Governor Hamada appealed with tears in his eyes, saying, "Let's work together to overcome the new corona and welcome the new year with a smile," and asked for cooperation in infection control.
