The Tokyo Metropolitan Government announced that it has confirmed that 888 new people are infected with the new coronavirus in Tokyo at the preliminary figures as of 3:00 pm on the 24th.
The number of presentations per day is the highest ever, surpassing the 821 people on the 17th of this month a week ago.
This brings the total number of confirmed infections in Tokyo to 54,018.
