The mastery of Notre-Dame finds its "second home" on the occasion of the Christmas concert on December 24th.

A year and a half after the fire in the cathedral.

Notre-Dame and her masters were born and grew together 850 years ago, that is to say more than eight centuries of repertoire.

Publicity

For this performance without an audience and in strict compliance with sanitary measures, eight singers from the adult choir will be directed by the choir director Henri Chalet and accompanied by the organist Yves Castagnet.

The latter will play on an instrument rented for the occasion, the organ of the cathedral having been damaged in the fire.

Soprano Julie Fuchs and cellist Gautier Capuçon will also participate in this concert.

The exceptional concert will be broadcast on France 2 on December 24 at 11:30 p.m.

Report by our journalist who had the privilege of attending the rehearsal in the premises of the Maîtrise Boulevard Saint-Germain in Paris.
