Iwate Prefecture has announced that two elderly patients infected with the new coronavirus have died.

The number of people who died in the prefecture is 22.

In addition, the prefecture and Morioka City announced that it was confirmed that five people in their 30s to 70s were infected with the new coronavirus.

Infection was confirmed in 348 people in the prefecture.
