[Explanation] Xili Village, about 20 minutes' drive from Ledong County, Hainan Province, was once a deeply impoverished village. Before the whole village was lifted out of poverty in 2018, there were 114 impoverished households in 456 households in the village, and Xing Haiping’s family was one of them.

[Commentary] When the reporter visited Xili Village recently, Xing Haiping and his wife were cooperating to feed the chickens in their rubber forest.
Catching chickens, loading feed, pushing side carts...one by one is not difficult for ordinary people, they have to work harder.

Including every time I feed (unloading the feed from the cart), I hire someone. In order to save some money, my wife and I pull down on it and carry it to others. Each time I feed 200 packets.
The hardest thing is to unload the chicken (unload the chicks from the cart), unload the feed (unload the feed from the cart), and load the chicken (load the chicken into the cart).
[Explanation] Xing Haiping told reporters that the Hainan Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce and the Ledong County Government plan to introduce enterprises into the village to run chicken farms in 2018.
It is currently operating in a cooperative mode of "company + farmer". Villagers provide labor and space to raise chickens, and companies are responsible for chicken coops, seedlings, technology, feed, and sales.
[Explanation] Now relying on raising chickens, Xing Haiping's family earned more than 100,000 yuan in two years. Not only did they succeed in getting rid of poverty, they also became a middle-to-upper-income family in the village.
