The Covid-19 epidemic swept away the dean of Pays de la Loire.

At 113 years old, Marie Jousseaume was the oldest inhabitant of the region, until she was swept away by the epidemic.

Born in 1907 like Tino Rossi or Pierre Mendès France when Armand Fallières was President of France, the dean has lived all her life in Vendée where she had settled as a farmer with her husband.

A cluster in the nursing home

The resident of the Assembly nursing home was the victim of a cluster that broke out in the health establishment where she was staying.

According to the Regional Health Agency, more than 60% of the residents of the establishment had tested positive, evoking “many symptomatic patients”.
