Partial confessions.
The parents of a one and a half month old girl who died Sunday in the Eure region have admitted the facts of violence.
But the two in their thirties deny the sexual abuse, indicate a police source.
Both were indicted and imprisoned, we learned on Wednesday from the Evreux prosecutor's office.
The couple, a 36-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman, were taken into custody on Sunday after the death of the infant who, "according to the first elements of the investigation, suffered physical and sexual violence" , according to Dominique Puechmaille, prosecutor of Evreux.
A judicial information was opened Tuesday.
The man was indicted for incestuous rape resulting in unintentional death and the woman for failure to report a crime.
No history of violence on the two eldest couple
The facts took place in La Chapelle-Longueville, at the couple's home, a caravan.
The Samu found "bruises on the baby's legs and a major tear in the anus", according to a police source, who clarified that there was no history of violence on the other two children of the couple, aged 2 and 3.
The Rouen SRPJ and the Vernon police station were seized of the investigation.
The two suspects were not known to the police.
