Former Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Takamori Yoshikawa of the Liberal Democratic Party admits that former Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has received cash from the former representative of a major chicken egg production company on the suspicion that he received cash of 5 million yen from the former representative. I learned from the interviews with the people concerned.

The Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office is expected to clarify the details of the cash transfer process.

Former Minister Yoshikawa served as Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries from October to September last year, but received 5 million yen in cash from the former representative of the major chicken egg production company "Akita Foods" headquartered in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture. The Tokyo District Public Prosecutor's Office is proceeding with the investigation by listening to the situation voluntarily from the former representative, officials of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and former Minister Yoshikawa himself.

Former Minister Yoshikawa admitted that he had received cash from the former representative on this issue, and said to the people around him, "I would like to tell you all the facts if the prosecution asks for an explanation at the point of my vice." I learned anew from the interviews with the people concerned.

The former representative of "Akita Foods" served as an advisor to the Japan Poultry Association, an industry group, and petitioned the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries regarding international standards for livestock breeding environments called "animal welfare" and subsidy projects for producers. He was engaged in request activities, and he often met with former Minister Yoshikawa in the minister's office.

The Special Investigation Department is expected to clarify the actual situation regarding the details of cash transfer.

Former Minister Yoshikawa resigned from the House of Representatives on the 22nd, saying that he is undergoing hospitalization treatment due to heart disease and is planning to undergo surgery soon, and that it is difficult to fulfill his duties as a member of the Diet.
