Recently, Mr. Li, a citizen who lives near Dashanpu, Da'an District, Zigong, Sichuan, was out for a walk and found a fossil of a large sauropod dinosaur leg bone. He immediately reported it to the Zigong Dinosaur Museum.
Subsequently, experts from the Zigong Dinosaur Museum organized an investigation on the site and basically confirmed that the fossil was indeed a large sauropod dinosaur leg bone fossil.
According to the preliminary analysis of fossil characteristics, this sauropod dinosaur, about 160 million years ago, is about 20 meters long.
Currently, relevant excavations are being carried out in an orderly manner.
This fossil is the 161st dinosaur fossil spot discovered so far in Zigong.
