Following the cancellation of the "Aomori Nebuta Festival" due to the influence of the new coronavirus, the Nebuta, which was produced for the first time in cooperation with all Nebuta masters, was completed and was lit on the 23rd.

Following the cancellation of the Aomori Nebuta Festival, which represents Tohoku, all 14 Nebuta masters collaborated for the first time to create a special Nebuta with support from all over the country.

On the 23rd, a ceremony was held at "Nebuta no Ie Wa Rasse" in Aomori City to showcase the Nebuta that had been created over a period of about three months, and about 10 people including Nebuta masters gathered.

The Nebuta is 8.5 meters wide and 5.2 meters high, and each person makes one by one and puts it on a dolly.

When the representative Nebuta master pressed the switch, the Nebuta was lit and applause arose.

This Nebuta is made with the theme of "Yakushi Nyorai" to cure illness and "Xuanzang", a Chinese priest who overcame a harsh journey to learn Buddhist teachings, and wishes for the early termination of the new coronavirus. It expresses the passion of the Nebuta masters for the festival.

Nebuta master Hiroo Takenami said, "I think it has become a historic Nebuta that symbolizes this year, so I want people to feel energetic and courage, and let's do our best together without losing to Corona. I was talking.

This Nebuta will be on display until next summer, and will be in operation if the "Aomori Nebuta Festival" is held.
