Kochi Prefecture and others have announced that 31 new people have been confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus in the prefecture.

The number of infected people announced per day in the prefecture has been 10 or more for 20 consecutive days, and the total number of confirmed infections in the prefecture is 549.

Of these, a man in his 70s under the jurisdiction of the Aki Health and Welfare Center died on the 20th, after which infection with the new coronavirus was confirmed.

This brings the total number of people who died in Kochi prefecture to six.
