The General Secretariat of the Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award revealed the winners of the November 2020 Instagram contest, whose theme was “Time Lapse” known as “Time Lapse” technology.

The competition witnessed a double Arab victory, reflecting the pace of Arab talents with the advanced and accelerating techniques and methods in the global photography industry, through the Saudi Youssef Ahmed Bajash and the Syrian Mustafa Ahmed Al-Jundi, accompanied by the Ukrainian Yevin Samuchenko, the Vietnamese Dang Guyenne Anh Khoy, and the Indonesian Robertos Dini.

The five winners will receive a medal of appreciation for the award, and their photos and names will be published on the official account of the award on Instagram HIPAae.

For his part, the Secretary-General of the Award, Ali Khalifa bin Thalith, said, “The photography techniques do not stop developing and innovating, as the time interval contains multiple optical frames, which the photographer deals with technically according to his own vision, and the message he wants to convey to the viewer.”

For his part, the Saudi photographer, Youssef Bajash, said about his winning work: “I carried out the work in the holy city of Mecca for years, and the idea of ​​the work is to show the holy city of Mecca as one of the global cities that never sleeps… neither night nor day.”

He added: “I tasted victory before, but winning this international competition gave me an overwhelming joy mixed with some confidence in winning, because of the great effort expended at work during several years.

I aspire to display my artwork as a photographer to the whole world, and this victory will greatly help me in my professional life and my future ambitions. ”

As for the Syrian photographer, Mustafa Al-Jundi, he said about his winning work: “I implemented it in the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in the Emirati capital, Abu Dhabi. On every visit to the mosque, the workers drew my attention to their activities and their continuous work, so I decided to make this video, to reveal to the world that what the visitors see is nothing but A simple part of a major work and effort that is done in an organized and continuous manner around the clock, 365 days a year. ”
