According to Kagawa Prefecture, on the 22nd, a poultry farm in Mitoyo City reported that "there are more dead chickens than usual", and as a result of detailed examination by the prefecture, "H5 type" bird flu suspected of being highly pathogenic. A virus has been detected.



The prefecture disposes of about 26,000 chickens raised in this poultry farm, and prohibits shipping within a radius of 10 km to a "movement restricted area" that prohibits the movement of chickens and eggs within a radius of 3 km. We have decided to take measures to prevent the spread by designating each as a "restricted export area".



The poultry farm that occurred this time is about 200 meters away from the poultry farm for meat chickens that had bird flu on the 16th of this month, and was operated by the same affiliated company.



The prefecture, together with the country, will investigate the infection route.
