BioNTech ensures it is ready to ward off possible mutations of the coronavirus -

The boss of BioNtech assured that the German company was able to provide a new vaccine "in six weeks" if the virus mutates, as Europe worries about a variant of the coronavirus in the United Kingdom, potentially more virulent and transmissible.

For the moment, nothing indicates that the vaccine initially planned, and which has just been validated by the European Union on Monday, would not work in the face of this variant.

Even so, the mutation is in the protein used by the vaccine, which has caused concern in recent days.

The boss of BioNtech was reassuring and indicated that a new vaccine could be provided in a month and a half.
