"It has stagnated at 1,500 admissions per day for three weeks. On the eve of the holidays, this high plateau does not say anything good," said this member of the Scientific Council who advises the government.

The number of Covid-19 patients currently hospitalized stands at 25,233 (or 240 more than Sunday) and 2,746 are in intensive care (8 less than the day before), according to data from Public Health France.
