"Yunnan Tour for 299 Yuan": Don't let low-priced groups take the live broadcast to bring goods back

  Words of a Family

When online celebrity live broadcasts cooperate with offline "shopping groups", they should not be viewed as a regulatory problem.

Instead, it should be used to check for omissions and complete the iterative upgrade of supervisory capabilities and methods.

The live streaming industry seems to have opened Pandora's Box recently.

After Simba, the Internet celebrity anchor Gao Huo also overturned.

According to reports, Gao Huohuo sold a travel card with a unit price of 299 yuan in the live broadcast room, claiming that "6 days and 5 nights in Yunnan for two people, high-end pure play group, no shopping, luxury car transfers, and 1 million insurance."

As a result, consumers complained that "it is actually a pure shopping group and requires shopping from morning to night."

In response, the Yunnan Provincial Tourism Law Enforcement Corps stated that the act was “a fraud, and it was also a low-price sale in Yunnan”, and it has notified the market supervision department of the matter.

For a long time, tourist groups have become "shopping groups", and news incidents that harm consumers' rights have emerged one after another. Recently, there have also been endless incidents of car overturning with online celebrity live broadcasts.

When the two met, they collided with a large number of consumers whose rights and interests were damaged.

This is a social problem, and another social problem has been encountered.

When these two forces that hurt the market are twisted together, the destructive power and the damage value are obviously not 1+1=2.

Not only does it expand the number of people whose rights and interests are impaired by such products, but it also brings difficulties to supervision.

In the report, the person in charge of Yunnan Meitu International Travel Agency stated that it is very difficult for consumers to defend their rights because 90% of these Internet celebrities are not located in Yunnan, and the products they sell do not belong to any travel agency; during the complaint process of consumers, local travel Law enforcement agencies can't handle it.

So, is there no alternative to the anchors "Gao Huo Huo" and "Tourist Shopping Group"?

Obviously not.

As far as this matter is concerned, what kind of illegal activities are involved in this live streaming of goods? The illegal subject and illegal activities should be investigated and dealt with by the corresponding department in a certain place.

In this case, the activities of the "shopping group" took place in Yunnan, and the local cultural, tourism and market supervision departments could obviously intervene; and on which platform the anchor was on, the platform should also assist in the investigation and intervene in processing.

Only when the responsible entities involved take the initiative to assume their responsibilities, can consumers' rights protection open the door.

And if you encounter something that one party cannot handle alone, you can also actively protect consumer rights through multi-sectoral collaboration.

In June this year, the Supreme Law, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the State Administration of Market Supervision jointly launched a special rectification and standardized management action for the webcast industry.

At the local level, not long ago, the Xinxiang City Supervision Bureau of Henan also took the lead in organizing multiple departments, including the Bureau of Culture and Tourism, Customs, and Taxation Bureau, to regulate "live delivery of goods."

It must be realized that the cooperation between online celebrity live broadcasts and offline "shopping groups" should not be treated as a regulatory problem.

Instead, it should be used to check for omissions, and to complete the iterative upgrade of supervisory capabilities and means by properly handling actual cases.

Whether it’s the issue of live streaming with cargo overturning, or the issue of "travel shopping group", it is nothing new. When they are intertwined, it shouldn’t be a problem-illegal low-cost group routines must not be allowed to borrow live streaming. Bring goods to "resurrection".

In short, we can't let every responsibilities go, nor can we let go of any responsible person.

Only in this way can the lid of Pandora's Box be tightly closed.
