The female giant panda "Xinxing" was born in Baoxing County, Ya'an City, Sichuan Province in August 1982. She was sent to Chongqing Zoo for rescue in June 1983 and has lived in Chongqing Zoo for 37 years and 6 months.
Chongqing Zoo notified that on October 21, "Xinxing" became lethargic and unwilling to eat.
On the 22nd, "Xinxing" experienced breathing difficulties, coughing, and unstable standing.
On the 23rd, "Xinxing" began to experience abdominal distension and difficulty defecation.
After discovering that the body of "Xinxing" was abnormal, Chongqing Zoo has repeatedly invited experts from the China Giant Panda Conservation and Research Center and the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University to consult with "Xinxing".
At 13:25 on December 8, "Xinxing" died after undergoing all-out treatment.
It is reported that Chongqing Zoo has recently organized experts to conduct anatomy and pathological sections on "Xinxing" several times. Comprehensive analysis believes that "Xinxing" caused digestive disorders, hypoproteinemia, and secondary digestive tract and respiratory tract infections due to advanced age and multiple organ failure. , Eventually leading to death.
The 1 year old of a giant panda is roughly equivalent to 3 to 4 years of humans, and the 38-year-old "nova" is equivalent to 110 to 140 years of humans.
