As the time of the last train will be advanced one after another on the railways running in the metropolitan area next spring, the Toei Subway operated by the capital will not be advanced.

In the Tokyo metropolitan area, the number of late-night passengers is decreasing due to the influence of the new coronavirus, and JR East, Odakyu Electric Railway, and Tokyo Metro have decided to move up the last train next spring.

Under these circumstances, according to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, the ▽ Toei Subway, ▽ Toden-Arakawa Line, and ▽ Nippori-Toneri Liner operated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation will not advance the time of the last train.

Regarding the reason, the city cites that there are a certain number of users during the midnight hours and that the time required for nighttime maintenance and inspections performed after the last train is secured.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation states, "We will pay close attention to the advancement of routes of other companies and the trends of our customers, and strive to set appropriate operation schedules."
