According to police, at around 5:30 am on the 20th, an iron plate attached to the front of a large snowplow hit a nearby pedestrian man on the city road in Omagari, Daisen City.



The man hit his head hard and was soon confirmed dead due to a brain contusion.



The site was a city road with one lane on each side, and at that time there was about 30 cm of snow.



According to police, the board of the snowplow is 1.4 meters long and 3.4 meters wide, and the driver was operating to raise and lower the board at the time of the accident.



Police believe that the person who died was an elderly man living nearby, and are checking his identity and investigating the details of the accident.
