Singer Seung-Jun Yoo (US Steve Seung-Jun Yoo), together with the Democratic Party Rep. Kim Byeong-ju, made fierce remarks about the so-called'Yoo Seung-Jun Prevention Act', saying, "Is I a public enemy?"

In a video posted on the YouTube channel yesterday (19th), Yoo Seung-jun said, "Am I a killer, rapist, child sex offender?" and said, "What's scary, one country is upset to prevent one entertainer named Yoo Seung-jun from entering Korea like this. "Is it?" and so on.

He protested, "If a system that would be affected by an old entertainer who was active 19 years ago stepping on Korean soil, is there a problem with the system itself. Is it wrong with politics itself?"

“You say I make young people feel collapsed?” “Because of the'emperor's vacation' of Justice Minister Chu Mi-ae's son, and the ridiculous circumstances of former Minister Cho Kook, (young people) became more angry when they saw corruption and two faces of politicians. "Isn't it breaking down?"

In addition, he criticized various political issues that were not directly related to his entry, such as the Sewol ferry incident, candlelight protests, and the Panmunjom inter-Korean summit.

He said that the government is encouraging anti-American sentiment, saying, "It promotes nationality, and Hyojin is encouraging anti-American sentiment with the Mijini case (Hyosooni Miseoni case)."

At the same time, the Korean people's candlelight protests were called "coups caused by agitation." "Isn't it?" he made a controversial remark.

In response, Rep. Kim Byeong-ju pointed out to singer Yoo Seung-jun, who publicly opposed the'Yoo Seung-jun Prevention Act' that he initiated, saying, "We are not properly grasping the essence of this issue."

Rep. Kim posted a post on Facebook that day, saying, "Abandoning military service is not a violation of the promise with fans, but a violation of the Constitution of the Republic of Korea," and "to prevent an attempt to evade military service through various tricks such as changing nationality." I refuted it.

Yoo Seung-jun was controversial to avoid military service by acquiring US citizenship after promising to join the military, and the Ministry of Justice restricted entry in 2002.

When he tried to enter Korea on an overseas Korean visa (F-4) and was denied, he filed a lawsuit against the Consulate General of Los Angeles and won the Supreme Court's reappeal in March this year.

However, the Consulate General of Los Angeles again refused to issue a visa and filed a lawsuit again.

On the 17th, Rep. Kim Byeong-ju proposed a package bill (Nationality Act, Immigration Control Act, Overseas Koreans Act, National Public Officials Act, Local Public Officials Act) to prevent evasion of military service through change of nationality.

This is a content that in principle prohibits the restoration of the nationality of'a man who has lost or left Korea's nationality' without fulfilling his military service obligations and prohibits entry into the country. If the amendment is passed, the basis for restricting Yoo Seung-jun's entry becomes more clear.
