Tropical depression affects the South China Sea
The tropical depression near the Sulu Sea moved into the South China Sea last night. At 5 o'clock in the morning today (20th), its center is located on the surface of the southeastern South China Sea, about 425 kilometers east of the Nansha Yongshu Reef.
It is estimated that it will move northwestward at a speed of about 20 kilometers per hour, and its intensity will gradually increase. It may develop into the No. 23 typhoon this year during the day today; it will move to the southwest direction tonight.

Affected by the combination of cold air and tropical depression, there will be 6-7 strong winds on the 20th in the southern waters of the East China Sea, the Taiwan Strait, the Bashi Strait, east of Taiwan, most of the South China Sea, the Beibu Gulf and the coast of Fujian, with gusts up to 8-9 In some sea areas, there will be strong winds of 8-9 and gusts of up to 10-11.
